Alonso Logistics India expands its network in the country with new office in Kolkata
Alonso Group‘s India branch, Alonso Logistics India, continues to expand its strong presence in the country. It has just opened a new office in Kolkata, formerly known as Calcutta, capital of the state of West Bengal and an important commercial, financial and logistics centre in eastern India. The city is home to important industrial sectors, including one of the country’s most important river ports.
With this new opening, Alonso Logistics India continues to consolidate its brand in the important and booming Indian market. The branch currently has nine offices strategically distributed in the country.: Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Tirupur, Tuticorin, Coimbatore and Kolkata.
India is the world’s most populous country with 1.441 billion inhabitants, slightly surpassing China. Its economic importance is significant and continues to grow as it establishes itself as one of the world’s largest and most dynamic regions.
Gateway to South Asia, with access to the Indian Ocean, the country is a key player in global trade, exporting products such as textiles, jewellery, pharmaceuticals, software and high technology. It is also a major importer of energy and raw materials.

The incorporation of Kolkata to the network is the latest example.
