For the stowage of the 17.7 meters boat on the deck of the ship Scheldergracht, a special structure has been realized to guarantee its stability during the whole passage.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div id=\"svjs_6a2965b50e619\" class=\"w3-content w3-display-container slide\" data-slide=\"1\" autoplay=\"1\" transition=\"slide\"><br \/>\n<div class=\"Slides animated active \"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2736 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/catamaran1web.jpg\" alt=\"IGL freight forwarder expert in special transports\" width=\"1000\" height=\"428\" \/><\/div><br \/>\n<div class=\"Slides\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2736 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/catamaran3web.jpg\" alt=\"IGL freight forwarder expert in special transports\" width=\"1000\" height=\"428\" \/><\/div><br \/>\n<div class=\"Slides\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2739 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/catamaran2web.jpg\" alt=\"IGL freight forwarder expert in special transports\" width=\"1000\" height=\"428\" \/><\/div><br \/>\n<button class=\"btnprev w3-button w3-black w3-display-left\">&#10094;<\/button>\n            <button class=\"btnnext w3-button w3-black w3-display-right\">&#10095;<\/button><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/igl.es\/en\/enhome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Intermodal Global Logistics (IGL)<\/a>, a freight forwarder that is part of the Alonso Group, has taken on the logistics challenge of <strong>transporting a large commercial catamaran from<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saguntoti.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Intersagunto Terminales<\/a>, in Sagunto (Spain) to the Mexican port of Veracruz.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ship, a <a href=\"https:\/\/flashcatamarans.com\/flash-cat-58-passenger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Flash Cat 58 Passenger<\/a> catamaran with 17&#8217;7 meters in length and 6&#8217;20 meters of sleeve, is a commercial boat with capacity for 75 passengers.<strong> Its large volume and the special shape of its hull have made it necessary to find a suitable solution to guarantee its correct stowage<\/strong> along the 10,000 kilometers of route crossing the Atlantic Ocean.<\/p>\n<h5>A customized service<\/h5>\n<p>IGL has opted to use<strong> Spliethoff&#8217;s Medliner service which, for the first time, has called at Intersagunto Terminals<\/strong> before heading to Chester (USA).<\/p>\n<p>The catamaran, which came by its own means to Intersagunto Terminales facilities, <strong>has been hoisted on board in a water-water maneuver by the Scheldergracht\u2019s ship team<\/strong>. For this purpose a system of slings with a 6.20 meter separator has been used and once on the deck, it has been placed on a wooden cradles structure made to measure for this load.<\/p>\n<h5>Synergies as added value<\/h5>\n<p>As explained by Maxim Molina, IGL Sales Manager, &#8220;the fact that both<strong> IGL and Intersagunto Terminals are part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/en\/business-areas\/\">Alonso Group<\/a>, has allowed us to take advantage of these business synergies<\/strong> to offer a totally customized solution to meet our customer needs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, &#8220;the <strong>close relationship we maintain with the main shipping companies and consignees, as in the case of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weco.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Weco <\/a>Maritima<\/strong>, Spliethoff&#8217;s Medliner service commercial agent, makes things much easier when it comes to dealing with special transports such as this,&#8221; says Molina.<\/p>\n<p>IGL in this regard, besides being a benchmark in the international freight forwarding in forest products, is reinforcing as an expert in managing special transport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IGL and Intersagunto Terminales teams have worked in a coordinated way to carry out this operation of special difficulty.
