Under the slogan &#8220;Alonso Group against child poverty&#8221;, the group has involved workers and collaborators from all its companies with the common objective of helping to alleviate child poverty in Spain.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div id=\"svjs_6a293e9ca8f9d\" class=\"w3-content w3-display-container slide\" data-slide=\"1\" autoplay=\"1\" transition=\"slide\"><br \/>\n<div class=\"Slides animated active \"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3152 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/reto-conseguido.jpg\" alt=\"Alonso Group and Save the children against child poverty.\" width=\"1000\" height=\"428\" \/><\/div><br \/>\n<div class=\"Slides\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2736 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/team.jpg\" alt=\"Alonso Group and Save the children against child poverty.\" width=\"1000\" height=\"428\" \/><\/div><br \/>\n<button class=\"btnprev w3-button w3-black w3-display-left\">&#10094;<\/button>\n            <button class=\"btnnext w3-button w3-black w3-display-right\">&#10095;<\/button><\/div>\n<p>Throughout each year, the Alonso Group engages in a series of <strong>solidarity actions within the framework of its corporate social responsibility strategy<\/strong>. Aware that children are the future of society, the group tries every time to focus on some problem that affects especially the youngest ones.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, the company wanted to take advantage of the Christmas holidays to take on a <strong>challenge from the <a href=\"https:\/\/retos.savethechildren.es\/reto\/grupo-alonso-contra-la-pobreza-infantil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Save the Children Foundation<\/a> in which both the company itself and its employees, collaborators and family members have joined in.<\/strong> The purpose of this solidarity challenge was to obtain the necessary resources to ensure that poverty is not an obstacle to the educational development of as many children as possible.<\/p>\n<h5>A challenge well met<\/h5>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/grupo-alonso-la-pobreza-infantil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alonso Group<\/a> initially set itself the objective of ensuring the care of seven children at risk of exclusion for a whole year. Over the course of a month, the <strong>different companies that make up the group have contributed their bit through the platform created on Save the Children&#8217;s website<\/strong> for the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>However, thanks to the generosity shown by all the participants, the solidarity campaign has ended with a collection seven times higher than expected, which<strong> will allow the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.es\/empresas\/apoyo-nuestros-programas-de-pobreza-infantil-en-espana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Save the Children Foundation<\/a> to have the necessary means to help fifty children<\/strong> through different projects.<\/p>\n<h5>Child poverty, a real problem in Spain<\/h5>\n<p>According to Save the Children, there are 2,460,000 children in Spain today who live at risk of poverty and social exclusion. With <strong>17% of the child population living in severe poverty<\/strong>, our country has one of the highest poverty rates in the European Union. This sad reality is the reason why the Alonso Group has decided this year to focus its efforts on collaborating with Save the Children to try to turn this situation around.<\/p>\n<p>Save the Children has been working in Spain for more than 20 years with different programmes focused on the fight against child poverty.
