All this, based on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).<\/p>\n<p>Alonso Group, in line with the principles and postulates developed by the TEN-T network, has participated in this year&#8217;s edition with an information stand in which it <strong>has exhibited the potential of its <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/plan-logistico-global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Global Logistics Plan<\/a> as a key element in the European logistics structure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This high-level event, organised by the European Commission, brings together European ministers, Members of the European Parliament and more than 2,000 transport stakeholders each year to discuss the future of the EU&#8217;s logistics infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h5>Alonso Group connecting Europe<\/h5>\n<p>The Alonso Group&#8217;s Global Logistics Plan proposes the connection of its different logistics platforms distributed throughout the Iberian Peninsula by rail as a basic axis. In turn, <strong>all of them have a direct railway connection with Europe<\/strong> through its Multipurpose Intermodal Terminal in Can Tunis (Barcelona), equipped with mixed gauge tracks.<\/p>\n<p>This intermodal platform allows trains to run between Spain and the rest of the EU without having to make changes to the border. It represents <strong>the first active node on national territory integrated into the Mediterranean Corridor<\/strong>, and is considered the gateway to the rest of the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>As the backbone structure of the railway connection between Spain and the rest of the European Union, the Alonso Group&#8217;s Global Logistics Plan has been recognised by the Community authorities as a project of strategic interest, as it has obtained the benefits <strong>of co-financing from the European Union through its <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/inea\/en\/connecting-europe-facility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connecting Europe<\/a> mechanism.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Sustainable growth<\/h5>\n<p>The viability of the Trans-European Transport Network is underpinned by sustainable growth which, according to the Commission&#8217;s estimates, will generate 1.8% more GDP by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>One of the key points of these working days was the drafting and approval of the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.connectingeu.eu\/documents\/Joint_Declaration_Coordinators.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ljubljana Declaration<\/a>&#8220;. The document addresses the <strong>key principles for investing in smart, sustainable and safe mobility<\/strong>. In this way, reducing emissions of polluting gases, increasing transport efficiency and increasing the reliability of infrastructures become priority objectives.<\/p>\n<p>The Alonso Group&#8217;s Global Logistics Plan endorses these principles by <strong>committing to a progressive increase in rail transport<\/strong>, while implementing ecological road transport solutions designed to cover the last mile. The ultimate goal is to bring as many CO2-free kilometres as possible into the logistics chain.
