Thanks to this new expansion, the road transport division of Alonso Group will have more than 500 vehicles, of which 17% are already made of natural gas.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to be able to provide customers and society with the <strong>greatest number of green kilometres<\/strong>. The company has been offering a last mile transport service for years with a fleet of trucks powered by natural gas. This new acquisition is a step forward that reaffirms Alonso Group as a benchmark in the <strong>combined transport sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>1,600 kilometres of autonomy<\/h5>\n<p>The new vehicles, Iveco&#8217;s Stralis NP model, are characterised by their efficiency and commitment to ecology. With a <strong>range of 1,600 kilometres<\/strong>, an engine with a capacity of 13 litres and 460 hp, they are designed for medium and long distance operations.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the exceptional energy efficiency of the engine, it offers <strong>extra fuel-saving solutions<\/strong> such as the EcoSwitch, the optimised rear axle ratio, the Eco tyres with low rolling resistance and the DSE (Driving Style Evaluation). In fact, this model is the result of the manufacturer&#8217;s research work over the last 20 years in the field of natural gas.<\/p>\n<h5>Sustainable transport<\/h5>\n<p>The use of gas in transport has important <strong>environmental benefits<\/strong>, such as improving local air quality or curbing CO2 emissions, compared to its diesel equivalent. It also reduces <strong>noise emissions and vibrations by 50% compared to other fuels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alonso Group is currently developing its <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/en\/global-logistic-plan\/\">Global Logistics Plan<\/a>, in which it is committed to greater <strong>efficiency in the energy cost of transport<\/strong> and the progressive reduction of polluting emissions. Another of the axes is <strong>intermodality<\/strong> as a fundamental tool for connecting the main neuralgic centres of freight transport.
