At the meeting, the company presented its <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo-alonso.com\/en\/global-logistic-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Global Logistics Plan<\/a>, the ambitious intermodality project for the Iberian Peninsula and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The summit was organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/inea\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">INEA<\/a> (Innovation and Networks Executive Agency), the successor organisation to the <strong>Trans-European Transport Network Executive Agency<\/strong> (TEN-T) created in 2006. Its mission is to support the European Commission and promote infrastructure, research and innovation programmes in the fields of transport, energy and telecommunications. It also promotes <strong>synergies<\/strong> between these activities, to the benefit of economic growth and EU citizens.<\/p>\n<h5>Three days to discuss transport in Europe<\/h5>\n<p>For three days, <strong>Digital Transport Days<\/strong> brought together public and private representatives to discuss <strong>transport in Europe<\/strong> over two plenary sessions and 24 plenary days.<\/p>\n<p>Issues such as paperless <strong>freight transport,<\/strong> the simplification of <strong>maritime information<\/strong> and the issue of tickets for <strong>cross-border rail journeys<\/strong> were part of the debate. Aspects such as <strong>digital and automated railways<\/strong>, electronic information on freight transport, <strong>blockchain<\/strong> for the sector, <strong>autonomous ships<\/strong>, optimisation of port ecosystems, <strong>cybersecurity<\/strong> and <strong>decarbonisation<\/strong> were also discussed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Violeta Bulc, European Commissioner for Transport<\/strong> and <strong>Henrik Hololei, Director General for Mobility and Transport<\/strong> of the European Commission, were among those attending this international event.<\/p>\n<h5>Global Logistics Project: Alonso Group&#8217;s commitment to intermodality<\/h5>\n<p>Alonso Group is currently immersed in the <strong>Global Logistics Project<\/strong> which has been recognised as of strategic interest by the European Commission and co-financed by the European Union through the &#8220;<strong>Connecting Europe&#8221; mechanism.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This project is Alonso Group&#8217;s commitment to <strong>intermodality<\/strong> and works to divert road traffic by rail.
