Alonso Group bets again on sport through the Patacona Football Club sponsorship

The football team Patacona C.F. has a new sponsor this season: Alonso Group. In this way the holding once again shows its support for young sportsmen and women and aligns itself with such important values as commitment, effort, teamwork, self-improvement and healthy living. This is not the first time that Alonso Group has supported a sports team, as for the last four seasons it has also sponsored the junior categories of Algeciras C.F.

Alonso Group shares the objective of accompanying young people in their sporting aspirations.

Alonso Group is the new official sponsor of Patacona C.F. for the 2020/2021 season in line with its philosophy of supporting young sportsmen and women and promoting values linked to sport such as teamwork, effort and self-improvement. In this way the Valencian club, which has managed to place its teams in the best categories of local football in just a few years, has a new main sponsor with whom it shares the objective of accompanying young people in their sporting aspirations and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits from an early age.

Jorge Alonso, Alonso Group’s president and CEO, and Salvador Pons, Patacona C.F. president, have formalised this sponsorship with the official presentation of the first team shirt signed by the captains of all the teams that form part of the club. An event which, in compliance with all the measures currently in force to avoid the COVID-19, also brought together players from the different categories of the technical sports school.

Club formed by nearly 500 players

El Patacona C.F., founded in 2008, was born with the aim of creating a sports space for the children of La Patacona Beach (Alboraya) and surroundings where they could interact and instill sports habits in a healthy environment. Currently the club has 25 teams and nearly 500 players between the ages of 4 and 18. It is a non-profit sports school that has an outstanding sports agreement with Levante U.D. More than 40 coaches are part of the staff and the first men’s team is classified as Regional Preferential.

At present Patacona C.F. is one of the most outstanding football schools with the greatest projection in the Valencian Community. Every weekend the different categories compete for the whole Valencian Community and for different Spanish regions.

CSR area and support to local projects

This is not the first time that Alonso Group supports a sports team. For the last four seasons Alonso Group has been sponsoring the youth categories of Algeciras C.F. where the sporting potential of many young players is also being developed.

Different sports sponsorships are part of Alonso Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) area, whose philosophy revolves around supporting young sportsmen and women and encouraging values such as teamwork, effort, cooperation, self-improvement, healthy living and companionship in society.

At the same time, Alonso Group also tries to support local projects where it has facilities. These are initiatives that go beyond its commercial activities. In the case of Algeciras, SAM Algeciras is located just over a kilometre from the port of Cadiz, one of the most important in the southern Mediterranean, while the holding’s headquarters are in Valencia. Sponsorship actions are developed with the firm objective of contributing to society and being by the side of those who need it most.
