Alonso Group reiterates its support to the FSUPV Team for the 2023-2024 season and adds a new sponsorship: Hyperloop UPV
Alonso holding company has renewed its sponsorship of the FSUPV Team, the Formula Student team of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), for the 2023-2024 season. For the third consecutive year, Alonso Group will provide all its logistical support to the team of young students so that they can compete under the best conditions in the different championships in which they plan to participate.
The FSUPV Team is a project formed by university students whose challenge is, each year, to build and compete with a formula car in the various Formula Student competitions around the world. It is a very competitive discipline but each season the team manages to demonstrate their skills, technical abilities and ability to overcome.
With this support, Alonso Group once again shows its firm commitment to sport and its associated values such as teamwork, cooperation, discipline and demand. These actions are part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) area of the holding company, which seeks to actively contribute to society and also to promote synergies between the academic and business worlds.
The new season of the FSUPV Team
For the first time in its history, this year the FSUPV Team will compete in four major international competitions. During one month they will participate in the most emblematic circuits of the world such as the Red Bull Ring (Austria), Hungaroring (Hungary), Montmeló (Spain) and Hockenheim Ring (Germany).
Among the main objectives of the young team for the 2023-2024 season are:
- Win the Formula Student Germany (FSG), the most prestigious competition of all, in its last organized competition for combustion prototypes.
- To qualify among the top three in the Driverless Cup category, a parallel competition in which the prototype will be pitted against other autonomous prototypes regardless of their mode (electric or combustion).
In short, with ambition and great vision for the future, the FSUPV Team is preparing to face new challenges and maintain its excellence in the field of automotive engineering.
We add a new sponsor: the Hyperloop team of the UPV
In addition to supporting the FSUPV Team, the Alonso holding company continues to expand its commitment to innovative projects and has just announced a new sponsorship: Hyperloop of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), which competes at European level with a revolutionary mobility initiative. Specifically, Alonso Group has collaborated with the team in the transport (from Valencia to Barcelona and vice versa) of the molds of the fairing of the vehicle with which they compete. This transfer is crucial because in Barcelona they will carry out the final development of the fairing.
Hyperloop UPV is formed by a team of 50 UPV students whose mission is to design a fully functional hyperloop scale vehicle that will make the transport of the future a reality. Born in 2015 as a result of the Hyperloop Design Weekend Competition organized by SpaceX, the team has worked year after year on different prototypes that have excelled in a multitude of areas, placing Hyperloop UPV in the top 10 of all the editions held. It represents the entrepreneurial spirit and passion for technology that characterizes the new generations.
A commitment to business-university cooperation
This new example of collaboration between the business and academic worlds is an example of the Alonso Group’s interest in actively promoting this type of alliance, recognizing the value of knowledge transfer and the joint promotion of cutting-edge projects.
The hyperloop, as a revolutionary new means of transportation, can represent a significant advance in sustainable mobility. Thus, Alonso Group is proud to be part of this initiative, contributing to the development of technologies that can transform the future of mobility.
