Axial presents its fourth generation tracker, SlopeSync, at Intersolar Europe
Axial, one of the companies that forms part of the Alonso Group‘s Energy and Infrastructure division, has taken advantage of its participation in Intersolar Europe 2024, the world’s largest solar energy trade fair, to present its fourth generation of trackers: SlopeSync.
The AxialTracker SlopeSync, the company’s new bifilar tracker, incorporates the technology of cardan joints along its main axis of rotation, to allow total adaptability and synchronisation to all terrains, even the most complex ones. This technology ensures that, within the same tracker, each section of torque tube can have a different inclination or slope, but maintaining at all times the continuity of the rotation of the photovoltaic modules.
In addition, the system has been designed so that the adaptability to the terrain does not imply the deformation of any profile or part of the structure, avoiding the appearance of induced stresses and thus achieving a longer useful life of the tracker.
According to Axial management, “our fourth generation of trackers has been very well received in the global market thanks to the high level of technology and security we offer,” they said.

Within the framework of the event, held in the German city of Munich and which brought together more than 120,000 visitors, both Axial’s business development and engineering teams also unveiled its new solar tracking system: SmartAx. Available for any location, it aims for excellence with a commitment to the highest levels of quality and sustainability for the most demanding customers in the sector. Its self-powered versions feature a charging algorithm that maximises battery life, with options that operate even at -30°C, and fastchange technology that reduces replacement time and cost by 75%.
In addition to the prototypes on display, another of the great attractions of Axial’s stand at Intersolar Europe were the interactive 3D screens that allowed the technical characteristics of all the products to be shown in detail. In this regard, the sales management team is very positive about the event: “We are leaving with new synergies and very promising projects on the table. And all this is thanks to the fact that we design and manufacture products that our customers can trust, as we offer the highest levels of excellence“.
Axial is currently an international benchmark in the design, manufacture and operation of solar trackers for utility scale photovoltaic projects and fixed structures. One of its main hallmarks is its commitment to a high level of technological development, which allows it to make great advances in the design and manufacture of solar trackers. It is also a pioneer in key aspects such as safety in adverse weather conditions like wind. The company is present in all phases of the projects: from their initial design to their execution.
