Oper Reefer Forwarding, the new Alonso’s Group company cold specialist

Alonso Group’s new refrigerated freight forwarder, Oper Reefer Forwarding, will provide national and international coverage to importers and exporters. It is based in Algeciras, where Alonso Group has a strategic multimodal logistics platform, SAM Algeciras.

In line with the continuous development, diversification and specialisation of the Alonso Group‘s forwarding division, the holding company has promoted the creation of the Oper Reefer Forwarding brand. Specialized in land, sea and air refrigeration logistics, it will provide national and international coverage to importing and exporting clients.

Oper Reefer Forwarding has its base in Algeciras where Alonso Group has a multimodal logistics platform of more than 120,000 square meters, SAM Algeciras. The facilities are characterized, among other services, by having reference refrigerated warehouses in the south of the Iberian Peninsula with 11 bitémperas cameras, more than 7,800 pallets capacity and equipped with the latest technologies. SAM Algeciras is located just over a kilometre from the Andalusian port, the fourth most important in Europe, which in 2018 managed to exceed 100 million tonnes of goods.

The new company was created by a team of highly qualified professionals in the shipping sector. At the head of them is Sonia Maillo, a professional with more than 25 years of experience in the freight forwarding sector and extensive knowledge of the functioning of international trade.
