Setemar receives AEO certification and reinforces its quality standards and good practice control

Setemar, the company that concentrates the main multimodal logistics platforms of the Alonso Group, has received the certificate that accredits it as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). After an exhaustive period of internal and external audits, the logistics platforms managed by Setemar in Valencia and Barcelona now have full AEO status, both in Customs Simplification and in Protection and Security.

Servicios Terrestres y MArítimos (Setemar) has started the course by completing a new stage in its policy of development and continuous improvement. Obtaining the AEO seal is the culmination of several months of intense work and the recognition of the professionalism of its team, which has made it possible.

The AEO certificate identifies those operators who are trusted by public administrations, who comply with high standards of quality and good practice control, both in their administrative procedures and documentation management, as well as in the protection and security applied to processes, operations and facilities.

A commitment to safety

Setemar has received the AEO seal in its complete version, which includes both Customs Simplification and Protection and Security. In order to achieve this, it has been necessary to involve its entire team of professionals, through audits and various training sessions, in the importance of maintaining the highest level of exigency at the same time as having the appropriate resources and training to detect and solve any incidence.

In this sense, one of the things that has been most taken into account when obtaining this certificate is the high level of traceability that Setemar facilities have. Thanks to the important computer development carried out by Asix, the IT division of Alonso Group, it has been possible to establish a real time monitoring of all the operations and processes that take place in each of the logistics platforms that the company has.
