Setemar strengthens its container lashing, rescue and claims services on the Iberian Peninsula

The Alonso Group company, with multimodal logistics platforms distributed in the most strategic points of the Iberian Peninsula, launches new services for claims, rescue and salvage of maritime containers to provide a quick and effective solution to this type of incident. At the same time, Setemar reinforces its lashing division with the incorporation of a service dedicated to Break Bulk Cargo and special charges, in addition to the existing one for containerised goods.

Setemar, the Alonso Group company with multimodal logistics platforms in Valencia, Barcelona, Algeciras, Murcia and Madrid, has just launched a new service specialising in the accident, rescue and salvage of all types of containers. In this way, in the event of any incident at a port or other location, it intervenes quickly and efficiently to solve the mishap in order to avoid further problems for the shipper in the process of exporting or importing goods. All this is facilitated by its AEO certification and authorisations such as DA, DDA, ADT and LAME. This is a commitment to safety and excellence in the search for express and quality repairs.

This reinforcement of Setemar is in addition to the services for the storage, maintenance and repair of all types of containers that the Alonso Group company has provided since its origins. Now, it is going a step further with this specialised offer, providing new solutions for terminals, shipping companies and logistics operators.

Lashing: Project cargo and containerised goods

In addition to this new line of business dedicated to containers, the company’s lashing division has been strengthened, that is, the handling, preparation and immobilisation of all types of cargo in order to avoid damage, knocks, scratches or overturning during transport. In this sense, Setemar has just incorporated new lashing services aimed at non-containerisable oversized cargo and those classified as special throughout the Iberian Peninsula. These are jobs which, due to their nature, complexity and urgency, require the intervention of experts in this type of operation.

This lashing, which is normally carried out on ships, is in addition to the one that Setemar was already marketing until now: the one dedicated to containerised goods (containerised cargo), which is mainly carried out in land operations.
