Begins sending of humanitarian aid for refugees of the campaign #solidaridadrefugiados

The loading of the three containers that will transport more than 28 tons of humanitarian aid material collected through the #resolidaridadrefugiados campaign began this morning at the facilities of Grupo Alonso in Quart de Poblet.
The collection, organized by the PSPV-PSOE in collaboration with the Spanish Commission for Refugee Assistance (CEAR), began last spring and has been supported by the companies SETEMAR, Arkas, and Stock Logistic, who are in charge of Logistics and transportation of all material in an altruistic way.
These are products of all kinds that have been collected through the more than 700 seats of the Valencian Socialists and whose final destination will be the Greek island of Lesbos, previous passage through the Port of Piraeus (Athens). Among the material collected are non-perishable foods, warm clothing, several hundred diaper boxes, more than 150 baby carts, wheelchairs, as well as hygiene and cleaning products.
Three containers full of aid

In total, the campaign has collected 28,000 kilos of material for families who have had to leave their homes fleeing the war in Syria. The different donations have been classified and palletized in the warehouses of SETEMAR.
At the moment SETEMAR, Arkas and Stock Logistic collaborate together to manage the shipment of this cargo of humanitarian aid. In order to be able to transport the load, which occupies the extension equivalent to a tennis court, the three companies involved in the campaign in a disinterested way, have used three containers that will arrive at its destination by sea.
At least 6,000 people remain trapped waiting for asylum in the two camps on the island of Lesbos. The distribution of this aid, which is being coordinated by the CEAR, comes at a particularly necessary moment, because with the arrival of winter the living conditions in these camps are worse.
