Many of our professionals, in the race

The race, which this year set a new record with 10,577 registered runners, took place in a fantastic atmosphere in the Campanar district of Valencia. This year’s event was particularly significant as it exceeded all expectations for participation and set an all-time record for finishers, with more than 8,100 athletes crossing the finish line.

Alonso Group wanted to join in the challenge with the participation of almost 150 professionals from its three business areas: Logistics, Energy and Infrastructure, and Leisure and Services. All of them wore the Alonso T-shirt and completed the 5 or 10-kilometre distances along a dynamic route that allowed them to enjoy some of the city’s most iconic streets. It is also worth noting the increase in female participation in the race, which reached a remarkable 38% of the total number of participants on the day.

Promoting healthy lifestyle habits is part of Alonso Group’s corporate social responsibility policy. In fact, this is not the first time that staff from the group have taken part in a sporting event of this kind. Recently, the Panama office organised a padel tournament that brought together staff from Alonso Forwarding’s LATAM division, as well as clients and partners.

Consistency in Alonso’s corporate culture

Beyond the record-breaking scores and times, what has truly made this sporting event stand out for  Alonso Group has been the shared energy and team spirit experienced among colleagues outside their usual working environment. In this sense, the event has been a true reflection of the values promoted within the company: hard work, perseverance, striving for excellence and teamwork.

Furthermore, this event has provided a unique opportunity to strengthen ties and continue fostering Alonso’s corporate culture. In essence, it has shown that any professional project, when tackled together, is built on a solid foundation that stands the test of time.
