Alonso Group exhibits its sustainability projects at Eco Mobility Expo World Congress

Under the slogan “+ Sustainability, + Innovation, + Future”, Alonso Group participates in the Eco Mobility Expo World Congress that starts tomorrow at Feria Valencia. The event brings together until next Thursday the main players in the transport and logistics sector (large corporations, manufacturers, technology companies, operators, public administrations, start-ups, clusters…) to discuss the most important challenges in terms of sustainable mobility and respect for the environment.
“+ Sustainability, + Innovation, + Future” summarises the main actions of the business group to commit to the decarbonisation of its activities and promote the application of renewable energies. Also the efforts to offer more sustainable logistics with a last mile transport service with less environmental impact or to apply more efficient solutions in all activities thanks to innovation. Always thinking about the future, about the legacy that will be left to new generations.
The holding company, whose stand is located next to the eMobility Plaza area, has actively joined this international initiative. This is yet another example of its real commitment to the sustainability of the planet, on which its three main business areas have been working for years. The corporation, present on five continents, continues to work every day to implement this philosophy to its 2,521 employees around the world.
During the three-day Eco Mobility Expo World Congress, the Alonso Group will present the main projects it is promoting in this field. One of them is the Global Logistics Plan, a commitment to intermodality that seeks to promote the railway as a priority means of long-distance transport of all kinds of freight. The project aims to connect the group’s own logistic platforms, located in the main areas of maritime freight traffic in the Iberian Peninsula, by means of multi-customer and multi-product trains.
Another major project that the Alonso holding company is currently involved in is the development of green hydrogen generation plant projects, as well as the subsequent storage and consumption of this gas in the fleet of its land transport division. A commitment to renewable energies and to promoting innovation at the service of competitiveness in the supply chain. In this sense, the event is the perfect showcase to publicise the present and future strategy of Alonso Group, which is directly linked to efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness in transport.
