Pobla Marina becomes the seat of the 2017 Spanish Cup of Catamarans
During four days the best sailors from all over Spain will gather in the Pobla de Farnals to participate in one of the most prestigious events held every year in Mediterranean waters.
This edition of the Spanish Cup of Catamaranes, which will take place on 25, 26, 27 and 28 May, is expected to involve about 70 boats, which will use the facilities of Pobla Marina as headquarters.
An optimal spot for nautical
The marina Pobla Marina is in a strategic point for the practice of sailing sports. Located in the center of the Gulf of Valencia, La Pobla de Farnals is a point of confluence of offshore winds like the “poniente”. Also its average of almost 300 days of sun a year, make sailing in its waters a real pleasure for The sailors.
In addition, being located just five nautical miles from the city of Valencia Pobla Marina offers all the facilities to participants in regards to services, accommodation or transport needs.
An event open to all
During the four days of the competition, various activities related to the world of sailing and water sports have been scheduled. As highlighted by the director of Pobla Marina Pablo González Carrau, “this is another of the important actions that we carry out in the promotion of sports practice and in the approach of nautical sports to all publics.”
In the organization of this event, which hopes to overcome the success of previous editions, the “Club de Regatas Pobla Marina” has the support of the “Real Federación Española de Vela“, the “Federación de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana“, the “Secretaría Nacional de la Clase Catamarán” (adecat) and the “Ayuntamiento de Pobla de Farnals“.
