The Intersagunto Terminal receives the largest container ships ever docked in Sagunto
The “Zim Monaco” vessel, with 260 meters of length, 32 of breadth, 13 of draught and capacity to transport over 4.500 TEUs, docked last July, is the largest ship container ever to dock at the Port of Sagunto. Grupo Alonso’s terminal has 100.000 square meters, a 740-meter berthing line and 16 meters of draught. It is the first Valencian terminal to obtain the Authorized Economic Operator Certification in the protection and safety modality.

The ship “Seaspan Hamburg” beside the “Spica” occupy part of the dock. The container ship has 259.8 m. long, 32 m. wide and 12.7 m. deep.
Another of big ships worked recently in Grupo Alonso‘s terminal is the container ship “Rio Grande Express” with 260 m. long and 32 m. wide. With the aim of offering the highest quality, Intersagunto provides in dock terminals 4-Post-Panamax Liebherr cranes, a Post-Panamax Paceco crane up to 50 tons, and 2 Fantuzzi mobile cranes.

In the courtyard they have 3 RTG Fantuzzi cranes, 5 Reach-Stacker Fantuzzi cranes, 8 Reach-Stacker Terex cranes,12 terminal tractors as well as 8 forklifts.
In its doors has an automatic optical character recognition system, wich collects data such as truck registration, registration of container and dangerous goods stickers. Connected with the operating system of the terminal, location assignments are automatic and weights are recorded in the system through integrated weighing machine.
