Alonso Forwarding Asamar Algerie, in preparation for the resumption of trade relations between Spain and Algeria

There is encouraging news from Algiers. The re-establishment of economic relations between Spain and Algeria holds great prospects for growth between the two shores of the Mediterranean. This is what the colleagues of Alonso Forwarding Asamar Algerie emphasise, who, despite the context of the last few months, have managed with determination and resilience to continue to grow.

Project cargo operation coordinated by Alonso Forwarding Asamar Algerie
Despite the difficult economic context resulting from the tensions between our two countries, at Alonso Forwarding Asamar Algerie we have achieved the objectives we set ourselves. Our cargoes, both FCL, LCL, project cargo and air cargo, have increased. These are figures that make us very proud and are a sign of the involvement of the whole team..
Another aspect we would like to highlight is the close relationship we have with the other Alonso Forwarding offices around the world, especially with All Ways Cargo, Alonso Logistics Türkíye, Transped China or Transped Barcelona.
In short, we have mobilised to overcome the obstacles and today we are reaping the rewards of all our efforts. These very positive results demonstrate the effectiveness of our strategy and our ability to relaunch the Alonso Group’s branch in Algeria.
2025: a promising year

With little more than a fortnight to go before the end of the year, 2025 looks very promising in light of the recent normalisation of economic relations between Algeria and Spain. Following the unblocking of trade, and with immediate effect, transport operations have been activated to the Algerian ports of Algiers, Oran, Bejaia, Skikda and Annaba. In turn, the Algerian Central Bank has ordered banks to operate in accordance with the regulations in force on foreign trade with Spain. The restriction had been in force since June 2022, and although last January the Algerian authorities unblocked the import of poultry products from Spain, the recent announcement is great news for trade ties between the two countries.

In this context, we at Alonso Forwarding Asamar Algerie are determined to continue this momentum and consolidate our positions despite the challenges that also lie ahead. One of our most immediate plans is to participate in the OOG (Network Project Cargo) meeting to promote our project cargo services. In fact, this year we have already carried out major operations between Italy and France.

On the other hand, the relaunch of the Hassi Messaoud refinery project in the country, a strategic initiative for the government, which wants to increase the national production of energy products to satisfy the growing domestic demand, could also be an opportunity for our branch. Técnicas Reunidas, Sinopec and the Algerian state-owned company Sonatrach have agreed to relaunch the project, which is worth around 3,8 million euros.

Thank you all for your support, reinforcement and encouragement, which have been instrumental in achieving our goals and overcoming the challenges we have faced. Our claim, ‘Join the strength of the movement’ is a great inspiration to all of us.
