Alonso Forwarding China prepares for the year dedicated to the snake

Alonso Forwarding China colleagues, with seven offices in the country, take stock of the past 2024 from the Hong Kong office. At the same time, they are hopeful about the possibilities for expansion in the year that has just begun, which in the Chinese lunar calendar is dedicated to the snake.

According to the World Bank, China will achieve 4,5% growth this year

First of all, our best wishes for 2025 to the entire Alonso Forwarding China team.

As a quick summary of our journey over the past year, first of all we have to thank you all for your continued support and collaboration throughout 2024. A situation that has allowed us, once again, to achieve remarkable growth in our airfreight and seafreight volumes, both in import and export.

We would also like to once again extend a warm welcome to the new colleagues who have joined the Alonso Forwarding‘s exciting project and the new offices that we have opened over the last year. In this way we are not only strengthening our global presence and coverage, but also enriching the way we do business and interact with each other.

Adaptation to the new market context in 2025

In Alonso Forwarding China we would also like to highlight that during 2024 we have implemented new procedures, in line with the global strategy, to prepare also for the market scenario in 2025. For example, the booking nomination process has changed or the portfolios of carriers and agreements have been expanded. But nothing has changed in our approach to ensure excellent service delivery, cost efficiency and outstanding team care. These are the main points on our agenda for 2025.

We are hopeful and motivated. This is despite global uncertainties, and while China has struggled this past year, mainly due to the real estate crisis and tepid domestic demand, the World Bank forecasts China’s gross domestic product growth to be 4,9% in 2024 and 4,5% in 2025. We are confident that this will enable us to reach our 2025 targets.

The year dedicated to the snake

2025 is the year dedicated to the snake in the Chinese lunar calendar. An animal that mainly brings with it transformation, which seems to fit quite well with our overall strategy as Alonso Group and with the playing field ahead of us. In our team we are convinced of the great possibilities for this year.
