Alonso Forwarding Korea, a branch that constantly pushes forward its spirit of improvement

In Alonso Forwarding Korea we are very proud of our success over the past year. When the war broke out between Israel and Hamas, while the conflict between Ukraine and Russia was developing, we had serious fears about the uncertainty in the business environment, but we have achieved great success in 2024.
In the team we have achieved a 218% increase in sales revenue and 57% increase in TEU sales volume compared to 2023. All these figures were achieved thanks to the strong support of the Alonso Group holding company in Spain and strong teamwork with other Alonso Forwarding offices.
We have also been able to continuously diversify the scope of services to Latin and Central America, such as Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia or Panama, by collaborating with our Alonso Group offices there. These areas are becoming an increasingly important business for us and we expect it to grow as there are many Korean companies with investments in the area.
We also developed the service from Busan to Moscow, Russia and Poland via the Trans-Siberian Railway and handled goods such as Korean car parts. It was a unique service and competitive with all shipping services through the Suez Canal. However, due to the war, we had to discontinue it. Fortunately, we were also able to participate in the service to West Africa via the Cape of Good Hope, as the transhipment line through Spain was less competitive in terms of services.

Legendario Korea, growth in the middle of recession
As you are aware, the alcoholic beverage business has been seriously affected by the economic situation, as domestic consumption has not fully recovered after the recession. Despite the context, our business achieved an 11% increase in sales revenue and 7% in sales volume. This success is due to the good Legendario brand and our ‘can-do spirit’.
Our plans and perspectives for 2025
From Alonso Forwarding Korea team believes that uncertainty will continue under the environment of ongoing wars, the conflict between the US and China, political instability in Korea and global warming. We also expect the logistics business to continue to grow at about the same rate as in 2024.
In this regard, we plan to expand our services to the transpacific trade, which is our first market in Korea. We have registered with the FMC (Federal Maritime Commission) which will enable us to improve our position in service contracts with shipping lines and customers. It will also enhance our company image and the brand value of Alonso Group in the United States, the largest market in the world. At the same time, we will continue to develop this segment by pursuing businesses such as automotive spare parts or agricultural machinery.
In addition, the air cargo business is growing as consumers want to buy more products for use at home. We will take advantage of this trend to enhance our segment and meet the needs of customers between Korea and the United States.
Finally we would like to expand our sales activities with our Alonso Forwarding network offices such as Thailand, India, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia or Algeria.
Spirit of achievement in Legendario Korea
We believe that we can do better in 2025 with a ‘spirit of improvement’. And that is going to be our claim. The young generation will be our main customer and we want to boost sales by introducing new products, such as gin as well as rum. We will continue to move forward to consolidate the Legendario brand and its value in the Korean market by overcoming the obstacles of the closed market.
Our team: the most valuable asset because of their collaborative spirit
