A total of three far-reaching solidarity campaigns have been designed.

With Christmas approaching, Alonso Group continues to join forces in favour of the most underprivileged groups in society. The holding participates in three wide-ranging solidarity campaigns that demonstrate its growing commitment to the most disadvantaged groups in society and its interest in contributing to a better future.

The campaigns try to reach those who live nearby, without forgetting those who have urgent needs in another part of the planet. That is why it has been proposed to support three actions of different scope: one local, one national and also one at the international level.

Specifically, Alonso Group, through its different companies, and with the support of all workers, is involved in the solidarity campaign led by Father Angel for homeless people throughout Spain, in addition to supporting locally the group of minors through Aportem and, finally, the actions that Doctors Without Borders is developing in Yemen in an international key.

Through disinterested contributions, Alonso Group, within its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aims to help those most vulnerable sectors: children from families at risk of social exclusion, adults who have lost everything or people afflicted by hunger or misery in conflict areas.

Mensajeros de la Paz: Father Angel’s solidarity NGO

On a national level, Alonso Group once again collaborates with the solidarity organization of Father Ángel – Mensajeros de la Paz – to obtain resources for homeless people, who, every day, gather at the doors of their church, located in the center of Madrid, in search of help and shelter.

The campaign is based on the collection of personal hygiene products, as well as different warm clothing. For this shared action, Alonso Group will finance the purchase of blankets and sleeping bags to add efforts to the collaboration of each of the employees. The deadline for completing donations will end on 16 December.

This is not the first time that Alonso Group has collaborated with Father Ángel since he recently took charge of transporting humanitarian material to the residences that Mensajeros de la Paz has in several points of the national geography. In addition, in 2016, Grupo Alonso also participated in the collection of material for children from dysfunctional families in an action led by the NGO.

Aportem: Valencia solidarity port

Aportem, the organisation that brings together companies, institutions and professionals linked to the port of Valencia, is leading a solidarity campaign for the benefit of a nursery which, altruistically, takes in children at risk of social exclusion in the Maritime Villages.

Alonso Group has joined this aid campaign and be able to contribute. With the help is expected to cover the costs of heating the nursery for a year, the cabinet of psychologists who work with children who will start their school cycle and finally, support the Christmas campaign (gifts or food) of children in the center. An action that aims to support children at risk of social exclusion so that they can integrate socially and have the same opportunities as any other child.

The Doctors Without Borders project in Yemen

The international organisation Doctors Without Borders has a hospital in the border town of Abs (Yemen), which, due to its strategic location, has been constantly bombed. This area is prone to water and food shortages, which often hinders the survival of the population living there. It is also an area prone to epidemic outbreaks of diseases such as malaria, cholera, measles and diphtheria.

This year Alonso Group has joined NGO’s humanitarian project to treat 55 Yemeni children who suffer from severe acute malnutrition and require immediate hospitalization. An example of this is the video that you can see below which reflects the support of all Alonso Group workers to any person living where they live, without any kind of distinction.
