Alonso Forwarding Asamar Algerie, in preparation for the resumption of trade relations between Spain and Algeria

2025: a promising year
With little more than a fortnight to go before the end of the year, 2025 looks very promising in light of the recent normalisation of economic relations between Algeria and Spain. Following the unblocking of trade, and with immediate effect, transport operations have been activated to the Algerian ports of Algiers, Oran, Bejaia, Skikda and Annaba. In turn, the Algerian Central Bank has ordered banks to operate in accordance with the regulations in force on foreign trade with Spain. The restriction had been in force since June 2022, and although last January the Algerian authorities unblocked the import of poultry products from Spain, the recent announcement is great news for trade ties between the two countries.

In this context, we at Alonso Forwarding Asamar Algerie are determined to continue this momentum and consolidate our positions despite the challenges that also lie ahead. One of our most immediate plans is to participate in the OOG (Network Project Cargo) meeting to promote our project cargo services. In fact, this year we have already carried out major operations between Italy and France.
On the other hand, the relaunch of the Hassi Messaoud refinery project in the country, a strategic initiative for the government, which wants to increase the national production of energy products to satisfy the growing domestic demand, could also be an opportunity for our branch. Técnicas Reunidas, Sinopec and the Algerian state-owned company Sonatrach have agreed to relaunch the project, which is worth around 3,8 million euros.
Thank you all for your support, reinforcement and encouragement, which have been instrumental in achieving our goals and overcoming the challenges we have faced. Our claim, ‘Join the strength of the movement’ is a great inspiration to all of us.
