Alonso Forwarding USA, at the service of bilateral trade Spain-USA

According to public statistics, a total of 229,000 TEUs moved in commercial traffic between Spain and the United States during the first half of this year. Of these, 129,000 boxes were exported and another 100,000 imported. These are very relevant figures that show the importance of bilateral business between our country and Spain, which have historically maintained great trade relations.
At Alonso Forwarding USA we have been working every day, for almost two years since we started our activity, to strengthen these links and to be firm allies of international trade. We strive to offer comprehensive logistics solutions, adapting to the changing needs of our customers.

Contingency plan for strike notice
In terms of current affairs, during the last few weeks, Alonso Forwarding USA has been monitoring the strike warning in the US East Coast and Gulf of Mexico ports, which affected 36 ports from Maine to Houston.
Aware of this situation, which could modify the delivery times and/or rates initially agreed upon, Alonso Forwarding USA has been informing our customers in a timely manner. We also designed a contingency plan to offer the opportunity to opt for routing LCL shipments, scheduled to depart from the East Coast and Gulf ports, to sail through the West Coast. We also offer alternatives related to airfreight and domestic freight services in the United States.
Fortunately, according to initial reports, the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) have reached a tentative agreement that puts an end to the dispute.
