The facilities of Servicios Terrestres Marítimos S.A. (Setemar) in Valencia have a new Reach Stacker Hyster RS46-33 IH. It is a machine designed to obtain the greatest agility possible in operations involving containers at their maximum capacity.

This equipment is capable of lifting up to 46,000 kilos of load at a height of 14.87 meters without losing stability or maneuverability. With this recent addition, Setemar’s fleet of vehicles for handling freight and containers increases in competitiveness and energy efficiency.

Intermodal Reach Stacker with low emissions

Greater power, lower consumption and total versatility. These are the main features that have made this model of Reach Stacker one of the most reliable and recognized in the world. Thanks to its telescopic spread with Piggy Back system, the vehicle is able to handle both 20 and 40 foot containers as well as all types of swap bodies and railway cargo material.

This model is equipped with a Cunnings QSL Diesel engine that complies with the international Phase IV regulations regarding non-road mobile machinery. In this way, emissions and fuel consumption are reduced up to 25% respect to the great majority of models that operate in the logistics sector.

A commitment to sustainability

This new acquisition reaffirms Alonso Group position as a pioneer on the road to intermodality. Through its Global Logistics Plan, the holding company with more than 50 years of experience in the sector, aims to progressively reduce road transport by replacing it with multi-client and multi-product trains with high regularity and frequency.

For this, Alonso Group plans to connect its different logistics platforms by rail offering the last mile transport through a fleet of Natural Gas powered trucks.
