Transped reinforces its presence in the Iberian Peninsula with the opening of a new office in Bilbao

The freight forwarder belonging to Alonso Group has just opened in Bilbao its new office “Transped Norte”. The opening is planned to provide a proximity service to all its customers in the Basque Country and northern Spain.
Following its national expansion plan, Transped inaugurates its eighth office in Spain, thus covering the entire territory. The logistics operator, specialized in international transport, is betting from the beginning on offering a personalized service to respond to the needs of its customers.

The election of Transped by Bilbao is linked to its strategic location as the main port enclave in the north of the Iberian Peninsula. With more than 30 million tons worked in the last year, the port of Bilbao is among the five most important ports in Spain.

In the last two years, the company has opened new branches in some of the country’s main economic and logistical centres: Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Zaragoza, Oviedo, Alicante and now Bilbao.

By strengthening its national network of offices, Transped has been able to strengthen its links with existing customers and streamline its responsiveness to ensure fast, reliable logistics with first-hand personal attention.

An internationally renowned company

Transped is one of the leading logistics operators in international maritime transport. It operates in more than 180 countries and has a consolidated network of offices in China and the United States. It also has exclusive correspondents in the Far East, Middle East and America.

The company integrated in Alonso Group has the added value of having its own maritime terminal, InterSagunto Terminales (ITS) located in the port of Sagunto, as well as an intermodal infrastructure that covers all links in the logistics chain by land, sea and air.

In the last three years, Transped has transported more than 150,000 TEUS and has served customers in all types of sectors including chemicals, perishables and specialty goods.
