The spirits brand once again participated in FIHAV 2019, which brings together representatives from more than 60 countries. It is one of the most important fairs in the Caribbean. Legendario's participation in this edition has been very special as it coincided with the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the city of Havana, an event in which the whole country has been involved through initiatives of all kinds.

A delegation from Alonso Group has travelled to Helsinki (Finland) to present its Global Logistic Plan at Digital Transport Days. The event brings together the main players involved in intelligent transport solutions at European level. The summit has been organised by INEA (Innovation and Networks Executive Agency), an organisation that depends on the European Commission.

Alonso Group shows its commitment to training and support for young talent during the inauguration of the sixth edition of the Master in Maritime Law of the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV). Thanks to this sponsorship, different professionals and directors of the group form part of the faculty. This year, academic excellence will once again be awarded through the III Alonso Scholarship.

Alonso Group's new refrigerated freight forwarder, Oper Reefer Forwarding, will provide national and international coverage to importers and exporters. It is based in Algeciras, where Alonso Group has a strategic multimodal logistics platform, SAM Algeciras.

Diverxia Infrastructure, dedicated to the promotion of infrastructure plans and a world referent in the execution of engineering works, has been shortlisted to participate, on 22 October, in the new renewable energy auction promoted by Colombia's Goverment. The selected projects will have the right to sign a 15-year power purchase agreement and must be operational before 1 January 2022.

The new hotel promoted by Alonso Group has a strategic location, just ten minutes from the Malvarrosa beach and very close to the City of Arts and Sciences Valencia. The accommodation is located in an old domino factory, founded in 1918, and has 21 rooms following an industrial-Nordic style.

In this season 2019/2020 Alonso Group becomes again the official sponsor of different categories of the Algeciras C.F. The action is framed in its commitment to support young athletes and promote values such as companionship, the culture of effort, teamwork or sport practice.

Alonso Group continues to bet on environmentally responsible transport by modernizing its fleet with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) trucks. The new units stand out for their efficiency, profitability and are designed for medium and long distance operations. 17% of the vehicles in Alonso Group's road transport division are already natural gas vehicles.

Axial Structural Solutions, a world reference in the design, manufacture and installation of solar structures for photovoltaic installations, has successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management systems. The certificate will be valid for the next three years. In addition, it has also recently been accredited with the ISO 14001 standard on the environment.

Through Intersagunto Terminals and the logistics operator IGL, Alonso Group participates in this pioneering initiative to replace plastic with recyclable materials and promote awareness of the problems generated by the abusive use of this component. Both companies are replacing plastic bottles and cups with other products.

The new brand of Alonso Group, Alonso Forwarding Holding, was born with the aim of coordinating the entire forwarding division, both nationally and internationally, and unify the purchases of this branch of the group. Pedro López has been appointed CEO of Alonso Forwarding Holding and will be in charge of leading this new Alonso Group project.

The company, part of Alonso Group, has inaugurated its new office and warehouse building in Barcelona. The mission is to adapt to the growth experienced by the freight forwarder in recent years and, at the same time, take advantage of its proximity to the group's intermodal platform in Can Tunis. The event coincided with the 15th anniversary of the company's incorporation in Barcelona.
