For these excellent results the multipurpose terminal managed by the Alonso Group has received the seals "Calculo" and " Reduzco", which make it one of the first maritime terminals to achieve this distinction.
Setemar, the company that concentrates the main multimodal logistics platforms of the Alonso Group, has received the certificate that accredits it as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). After an exhaustive period of internal and external audits, the logistics platforms managed by Setemar in Valencia and Barcelona now have full AEO status, both in Customs Simplification and in Protection and Security.
Legendario has set out to give a special flavour to the summer with a series of promotions and proposals that include music, the beach and a special tribute to the beach 'chiringuitos', the real spanish summer temples. Under the slogan `We Like Summer', Legendario faces the funniest season of the year showing off his optimistic and fun spirit.
Thanks to the agreement signed with the Catholic University of Valencia, the master's students have been able to visit the Alonso Group's logistics platforms throughout the academic year, in addition to receiving master classes from executives of the different companies. This year, for the first time, the'Alonso Scholarship' has been introduced, which will reward one of the brightest students with an employment contract in one of the group's companies.
Alonso Group continues to be committed to developing its refrigeration division and has just presented the new Fripecan facilities in Madrid. The company, a specialist in controlled temperature transport, already has almost ten operating centres in Valencia, Barcelona, Algeciras, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Alicante, Sagunto and Madrid. Thanks to its collaboration with Marítima Alisea, Fripecan aims to become the most competitive option to connect the Peninsula with the Canary Islands through the Port of Sagunto.
Jorge Alonso, President and CEO of Alonso Group, has been awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the 5th edition of the Tourism and Transport Leaders Awards organized by the magazine Gaceta de Turismo. The award is a recognition of his work at the head of the company, having managed to position Alonso Group as a leading company in the Spanish logistics sector.
